Antoine Lyon-Caen


Born in 1948, Antoine Lyon-Caen is Arnaud Lyon-Caen's cousin. With a Law Phd, and an economic degree, he becomes a lawyer at the Paris bar in 1969. Professor at the law school of Caen University until 1979 and then at the Paris Ouest Nanterre University until he retired in 2013. He is also a research fellow at the Higher school of Advanced studies in Social Sciences since 1988. He is today a Barrister at the Conseil d'Etat and the Supreme Court of cassation which are the highest jurisdictions in the French law system. He is a partner at Lyon-Caen & Thiriez law firm since January 2016, after being a consultant since 2012.

Creator - Director of the Labour Law Review - Revue de droit de travail (since 2006)

Member of Editorial Board of various foreign magazines (European law Journal, Diritto Comparato, Newspaper of the Courts, European law, Lavoro e diritto)

Honorary President of the French Association of Labor law and Social Security, he is also President of the International Institute for Comparative Studies  - IIPEC (since 1992), created by various French public institutions, with the task of organizing and developing comparative research in law, institutions and public policies.
